| Scynthe tensed slightly as the ship lightly jolted as it left hyperspace, then relaxed. Bothawui loomed before them. The gunship quickly approached the planet, and soon a large city was before them. Scynthe began to scan the area for a suitable landing pad.
"The more secluded, the better, comrade. We'll have plenty of attention soon enough... let's see if we can't maintain that element of surprise" Sycnthe spoke as his eyes glinted. Their enemies would never know what him 'em. |

| Typho nodded, a grimace on his face that would seem as if he was in pain or angry, but in fact it was his look of grim determination and approval. Scynthe's idea sounded perfect.
"Hooah. Sounds good to me. Oh, by the way, one of my new modifications is a stealth-field cloaking device. Not as powerful as some capital ship cloaking devices, but this maybe will still keep us off any RADAR and be unable to be spotted by any visual eye. Unfortunately, I need to turn it off in order to jump to Hyperspace or fire the laser batteries, so, it has its downs. Turning it on now."
Typho flicked a switch on the control desk. A blue alarm flashed silently above them, signifying that the cloaking device was in place and online. It didn't seem as if anything had changed to the two, but, from the outside, no one would be able to spot the Red Vengeance.
"Taking her down now. Knuckle up. We need to be ready for any encounters right from the beginning. Hell, I know where going in quiet, but, we might have to open fire from the moment we get out of the ship." _________________ "Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. | Scynthe listened to Typho's words and knew he was right. There was no telling what would be waiting for them once they landed, no matter how quiet they were.
The gunship's landing gear deployed, and the ship gently and quietly landed on Bothawui. Silence pervaded the air. It was almost... too quiet.
Scynthe quickly stood from his seat and faced the entrance. He turned to Typho and simply nodded. It was time. He then activated his stealth armor and drew his pistol. He was ready.
His near-invisible head turned back to Typho.
"Let's do this, comrade." |

| Typho nodded in agreement, and brought his Sfor Republic Carbine up to shoulder height. He held it in one hand, and placed the other of the command control to open the exit ramp. With a quick punch, the control complied, and the ramp began to open slowly. Typho span to the right, out of view for anyone who was watching, and activated his stealth system.
He popped his head out of cover and looked around. It seemed as if everything was all clear, but Typho never knew to trust the obvious. The Mandalorian quickly crouch-ran down the ramp, and moved his Carbine in an arc, whilst looking down the sight, for any tangos.
Seeing that there were none, Typho lifted up his hand to Scynthe, turned it on its side and swiped downwards, signaling him to exit the ship. _________________ "Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? | Scynthe saw Typho's signal and quickly began to move down the ramp, pistol at the ready. In a hunt like this, it was always gonna be shoot first, ask questions later. The coast seemed clear. But, like Typho, Scynthe never trusted the obvious.
When he reached the end of the ramp and exited the ship, there was no one in sight. Still, Scynthe didn't lower his pistol. Something didn't feel right. It was a gut feeling, something you developed after years of hunting. Scynthe threw his fist upright, signalling Typho to wait. He knew Typho probably had a light heat-sensor indicator built into his visor so that he would be able to see Scynthe's outline.
Something moved to his left. Scynthe turned... and saw nothing. He looked intently in that direction. In a moment, he saw a sudden glint 5 feet in front of him, as if the sun had reflected off of thin air. But it wasn't air, as Scynthe knew. It was the glint of metal, and the betrayal of his adversary who was cloaked as well. Scynthe jerked his head to the right just as a blaster bolt flew by his head. He quickly ducked and rolled to his right as two more bolts hit the ground behind him. Scynthe rolled out firing. His first shot missed, but the second disappeared. He heard a grunt, then nothing. Scynthe was sure he was still alive, but no longer sure where... |

| Typho heard the blaster shots, and instinctively dropped to the ground, rolling to the left into a patch of shrubs. He would be easily camouflaged in the leaves, and began looking around for the hidden enemy. He didn't actually look for the enemy, he was sure the man was far too professional for that. Instead, he looked around for elements that indicated he was there. A broken twig, a little flare of dust, a footprint, etc.
Typho soon spotted him. The man had taken refuge behind a small tree. He had moved to the right slightly, to try see where his enemies had gone. The Grey Vigo spotted that the hostile had a nasty looking burn mark on his left leg, no doubt from one of Scynthe's shots. It would slow him down indeed.
Typho slowly eased his Sfor Republic Carbine out of the bush, to take the shot. He would aim for the man's shoulder, and he wanted to see if any there was information that the enemy Hunter had. A moment later, with his Carbine in position, the Mandalorian moved his index finger to the trigger, aimed down the sight and waited... one... two... three...
There was a small flash of light, as a blaster shot erupted out of the barrel of the Carbine, and smashed into the man's shoulder. He fell back with a groan, behind the tree. However, Typho stayed put, waiting to see if there was anyone else in the vicinity. Never run out into the open, Typho knew. _________________ "Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? | Scynthe was still looking for signs of the enemy when he heard Typho's shot go off. He quickly looked to the right and saw the target crumple to the ground, no longer hidden by his stealth armor. Still, Scynthe waited, as did Typho. There seemed to be no response from anyone else who might be hiding. Slowly, Scynthe stood, and began to slowly move towards the target, pistol at the ready.
When he reached the injured target, he looked down. It was a rodian... and it was still alive. |

| As he saw Scynthe begin to cautiously make his way to the body, Typho got into a crouched position, checked one last time for tangos, then stood up and walked over to Scynthe. Their enemy was a Rodian, still alive, and injured into two places. A shot by both Scynthe and Typho. The Mandalorian knew that those two shots would be very painful, and he used it to their advantage.
"You, Rodian... You'll answer my questions, or your going to feel more pain, ok? Good. Now, question one... Who are you, and who do you work for?"
Typho pulled out one of his DC-17 Blaster Pistols, and held it to the Rodian's knee, prepared to send a shot into it, severing tendons and muscle. _________________ "Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? | Scynthe looked at the Rodian on the ground with no sympathy. His first instinct was to finish off the scum, but he knew that he had to fight that instinct long enough to get whatever information the Rodian might have, as Typho had already begun to do.
Scynthe aimed a kick at the Rodian's ribs. His foot connected, and there was an audible crack, followed by the Rodian's howls.
"Answer him, scum, or a broken rib will be the least of your worries."
The Rodian looked up at Scynthe, then turned to Typho. "Go to hell...." |

| Typho growled and pressed his finger onto the trigger of his pistol, and repositioned it to the Rodian's face.
"Funnily enough, that's the place where you're about to go. I give people once chance. One chance to answer my questions. If they do so without hesitation, I conplemplate letting them live. If they don't, I kill them. It's that simple. I gave you one chance. You didn't answer. So, there is only one outcome."
Typho inched his pistol forward, slowly, closer and closer, until it was aimed directly between the Rodian's eyes. Their enemy was going cross-eyed, keeping his view on the pistols, whilst sweat began to form on his brow. Typho let his suffer for a few moments until he relented. He stood up, and feinted turning away. A moment later, he swung back, having flipped the pistol, so that he was holding onto the barrel, and brought it crashing across from the left to the right, impacting into the Rodian's head, making it swing sideways, from the powerful hit. The Hunter was concussed, but very much alive. Typho grunt and faced Scynthe.
"Do the honours for me. Add this bug-face to your body count.." _________________ "Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? | Sycnthe's eyes glinted at Typho's words. He watched Typho walk away, then slightly raised his loose arm and fired his pistol without so much as a glance at his victim. He didn't need to look at the Rodian to know that his shot had hit him right between the eyes, and that those eyes would never open again. He holstered his pistol and followed Typho.
"So where shall we start, comrade?" |

| Typho pondered for a moment, then made his decision. He turned to Scynthe and pointed north.
"We're about half a click south of the capital city, Drev'starn. So, if we continue north for a little while, we'll get there. That's where Lunko said that he and Gryn were at the time when he put the bounty up. So, I suggest we check it out, and see if we can find any clues to the whereabouts of Valian Gryn. Hooah?"
Without another word, the Grey Vigo slipped his DC-17 Pistol back into its holster, flipped out his Sfor Carbine, and began walking northwards. _________________ "Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? | Scynthe's reply was a single word: "Hooah."
Scynthe quickly followed behind Typho, constantly on the lookout for any more "surprises" that might come their way. Scynthe didn't like how close that Rodian had gotten to him. He wasn't about to let that happen again.
After walking for quite some time, Scynthe was finally able to see the first few scattered buildings that would be the edge of the capital city. He immediately began to scan for any promising cantinas. The places were always filled with valuable information and drunk men ready to spill it. They passed one, but Scynthe wanted to try one a little closer to the main part of the capital. A little while later, they spotted another.
Scynthe looked at the cantina and then over at Typho. "Shall we, or did you have something else in mind?" |

| Typho immediately and quickly sized the Cantina up and down. It seemed like it would be an appropriate place to begin their investigation. It was quite large for a Cantina, and probably the biggest establishment of one they would find in a huge radius. It would be better to begin here, than trying to find another that might possibly rival this one. There'd be no point in looking.
"Let's do this. Be on the lookout, though. Cantinas are always ripe places for an ambush or assassination attempt. A small place to hide a concealed blaster and get a clean shot or a small slip of poison in one's drink. Stay frosty..." _________________ "Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? | Scynthe nodded at Typho's words and clenched his fist to increase some blood-flow. He would be ready.
Scynthe entered the cantina with Typho and was immediately hit by a deep blue light that drenched the entire room. The light made it harder to see clearly in cantina, and Scynthe didn't like it. His hand stayed close to his holster.
Scynthe walked to the side of the bar and ordered an ale. He looked to his immediate left and returned a few steely looks he was receiving from the locals. He looked back at Typho.
"They know we're not from around here. Friendly bunch, aren't they?"
Scynthe took a drink from his ale. If they're looking for a reason to hate us, I'm sure we could give them one.... |
