SW:TOR Update - 12/2/10 - Taris and Webcomic

I believe that I speak for the majority of the guild, and the entire community when I say that we could all sense or tell that Taris would be implemented in SW:TOR. We were right.

Bioware presents us today with a new planet, Taris. However, it is not the same Taris as we saw 300 years ago in KotOR. After the bombardment of the planet from the Sith Empire, Taris has completely changed into a swampy sort of forest, with ruins of buildings and moss covering all of them. I prefer it this way. Sure, Taris was very nice to see as a gleaming city, but this is much better for story to see an entirely new looking environment on a planet we had seen in the past. I like the idea of the continuation of Rakgouls in SW:TOR. It's always good to get a little nostalgic about the good old singleplayer KotOR days when you're running around with your mates.

Anyway, without further ado, here is Taris.

We are also blessed with the Threat of Peace Issue 26 this week. It was mostly talk, and pretty dull. It's cool that Dalborra's punch killed Dar'nala in a single hit, but, it didn't seem that good story with Satele preventing the dark side and staying with the light. Just isn't good material. It seems that lately they've been putting more work into the Webcomics, making them have around five panels a slide.

So, here is the Threat of peace Issue 26.

Oh man I honestly forgot all about Taris but im glad its gonna be a planet now and it will be really interesting to see how its developed since the bombing and go through the ruins and see some familiar sights. I would especially like to go through the ruins of the cantinas and of Daviks place.

Glad to see they included Taris again. Can't wait to see what happened after the Sith Bombardment tbh.

Very nice to have Taris back, it was certainly a fun planet. Although it looks to be much different this time around that might be for the best as exploring some old ruins could be fun.

I think its great they changed Taris for this game. I liked Taris in the first Kotor, but it annoyed me that I had to play through it all whenever I wanted to start another playthrough. This new Taris looks great however, I'm sure I'll enjoy playing through it.

I like the new Taris, the old Taris was a wannabe Crouscant, with werewolf type creature things everywhere.
