I've played both. The second one I've played many ways through. But on the first one I've only gotten past your jedi training. It just hasn't caught my interest as much as the second one.

Both of them too many damn times to count. I've also tried out numerous modifications to the game, and there's quite a few out there that are of superb quality.

I'm kinda ashamed to admit, but I've only played the first one. I played it multiple times, but I only really enjoyed it the first time. I got annoyed at having to go thru Taris every time I started a new game, and the game play got kinda repetitive, and I knew the story so there were no big surprises any more.
I haven't gotten around to playing the second one, my friend who had played it said there wasn't much difference in gameplay and there was another Taris-like planet before you got to explore the galaxy. I may play it one day just for the story.
Overall I think Mass effect is a much better game

Both. Multiple times. The first is better in my opinion. The second had a very good story, but it just feels too dark and gloomy all the time, making it very boring to play IMO.

There's mods out there to skip Taris and the starter areas in KotOR II, so you might want to check them if you ever get round to playing them again.

I've played both, didn't like the second one too much though...

I played the first one as grey all the way through and when you face Bastila before the last mission I just went completely darkside and killed everyone (except Bastila), I loved the look on the faces when the Jedi realized the enemy was using Battle Meditation against them

Played them both through a couple of times, as above much prefer the first one. Not surprising as it is Bioware. Plan to play them again soon, I have never gone completely evil so will have to change that.
